Ms. Foundation for Women and PreventConnect have been collaborating this year to bring a series of webinars in order to raise the visibility and dialogue about child sexual abuse, to build new communities engaging in ending this problem, and to increase knowledge and resources for taking action.
The eighth of the nine-part series, “After Sandusky: What We Have Learned to Prevent CSA in Youth-Serving Organizations,” will be taking place Monday, Nov. 19 from 1-2:30PM EST. The objectives of this specific web conference will be to describe three lessons learned after the Penn State Tragedy, outline key strategies for youth serving organizations beyond reporting, and to identify three key resources for working with youth serving organizations. You can click on this link to sign up.
Guest speakers will be Karen Baker, director of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center; Keith Kauffman, Ph.D., of Portland State University; and Janet Saul, Ph.D., Research Psychologist and Chief of the Prevention Development and Evaluation Branch of the Division of Violence with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
