The North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking (NCCAHT) is a group of professionals from multiple vocations, including law enforcement, legal services, and social services, that works to raise awareness about human trafficking across North Carolina, to identify and assist victims, and to support prosecution of traffickers.
The group issues a monthly newsletter that highlights actions taking place in our local area and across the country. One big event happening in the Triangle area this week is the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s 8th Annual Men for Change Award Banquet. The event will be taking place Thursday, Nov. 15 at 6 PM. The site is the Friday Center in Chapel Hill. Cost for a student ticket is $20, while individual tickets will be priced at $30. For more information, and to reserve a ticket, you can visit the NCCADV’s website, www.nccadv.org.
