The Triangle Global Health Consortium (TGHC) was launched in September 2009. Including the four major universities in the Triangle (NC Central, NC State, Duke, and UNC-Chapel Hill), TGHC aims to collaborate and find solutions to improve the health of underserved members of our society.
The organization has published a blog series in support of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence. These posts have been written by people working in a variety of areas, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and international gender/health issues. Multiple topics are explored, including multi-cultural proverbs, college/university atmospheres, military services, and anti-violence legislation.
International Human Rights Day (December 10) commences the 22nd annual observance of the 16 Days of Activism campaign. Through this effort to raise awareness and advance the dialogue of ending gender-based violence in our society, TGHC adds a necessary and well-articulated voice.
