Activate Raleigh 2013 Evening Commemoration & Service Project (Sept. 11)

WHEN:  Wednesday, Sept. 11, 6-9 PM

WHERE:  Red Hat Amphitheater (500 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC 27601)

Come join Activate Good, the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, and other fellow citizens for the 9/11 Day of Service, an evening commemoration and service project.

The event is FREE and open to the public.  Enjoy live music, participate in hands-on service projects, bring non-perishable items for an on-site food drive, and hear from Mayor Nancy McFarlane and Activate Good to wrap up this community-wide day of service.  You can also enjoy live music from Mary Selvidge and the Chris Hendricks Band.

The service project line-up will include creating toys for adoptable pets in local animal shelters, creating pillows for breast cancer survivors, donating non-perishable food items for a local food pantry, and writing letters for our overseas troops.  You can sign up as an attendee on EventBrite’s page, and be sure to share this event on Facebook and Twitter!
