“We have a huge responsibility, right now, to learn the truth and act on it.”
-Robert Bilheimer, director of “Not My Life”
Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal activity in the world. It generates over $32 billion a year in profits while victimizing countless, voiceless victims. Half of the victims are children.
The International Affairs Council of NC (IACNC) is pleased to announce that Oscar-nominated documentarian Robert Bilheimer will join us on Saturday evening (10/26) for a free screening of his documentary “Not My Life.” This film highlights the problem that is human trafficking and takes us to places where children are exploited every day through forced labor and servitude. You can view a trailer for the film at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbforxDhrJ4.
This event will take place on October 26 from 5-8 PM. Come join us at the American Institute of Architects building (14 East Peace Street), across from William Peace University. Parking is on the east side of the building. Stay for a post-film discussion with Mr. Bilheimer and learn about what we can do to stop child trafficking.
