January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. In honor of this event, the crowdfunding organization ENDcrowd is hosting a free screening of the film “In Plain Sight”.
This documentary features six modern-day abolitionists who are combating human trafficking. The film enlightens about the problems of human trafficking through interviews with survivors, and stories of hope are also revealed as each survivor shares how she escaped modern-day slavery through the help of aftercare homes. You can view the official trailer of the documentary at this website.
The screening for “In Plain Sight” will take place on Thursday, January 22 at the Mission Valley Cinema (2109 Avent Ferry Road) in Raleigh. Again, the event is free, but seats are limited, so all those interested in attending can register at the EventBrite page.
ENDcrowd is a crowdfunding platform solely dedicated to ending human slavery. ENDcrowd believes that we can fight the $150 billion illegal human trafficking industry by harnessing the power of the crowd, using small contributions to make a big impact.
